Schumacher Trellis Material in Powder Bathroom
Beautiful powder bath featuring a trellis pattern printed on an extra-wide nonwoven material by Schumacher. Schumacher's extra-wide nonwoven materials are really nice to work with. They're really dimensionally stable. I was able to get this material to expand 3/16" across the 54" wide breaths via bagging and double pasting, sizing the seam locations to help prevent the material to shrink on the walls. I did this to try to stretch the panels a bit and get more of an overlap at the kill point. And then, after all of that work, two of the corners in this short bathroom ended up being over 1/2" out of plumb, causing more than an inch of a gap between the patterns at the end, despite the extra growth I'd made up by getting the material to expand a little more. So I creatively sliced void into the gaps between the trellis's in order to prevent getting a really noticeable kill point. The pattern is balanced on the vanity wall so that it looks good when the bathroom mirror gets installed.
